GLOBAL CONSERVATION FORCE

December 11, 2018

Over the past couple of weeks both the patrol and camera trapping teams hosted guests from Global Conservation Force (GCF) in the US. GCF is dedicated to saving wildlife from extinction through education, anti-poaching and conservation efforts. They work with local and international communities by supporting anti-poaching units, awareness and education initiatives and providing on the ground support with training, development and skills sharing. CEO Mike Veale and journalist Tom Pike spent a week with both Sumatran Ranger Project teams and were incredibly generous donating much needed equipment including GPS units, mobile phones and camera traps. They also provided upskilling in drone use, patrol techniques and first aid training. GCF raise money for training, development and equipment to support in-situ ranger and education initiatives worldwide and do this through their own fundraising. We are very fortunate to be partnering with such a reputable organisation with values similar to our own. Thank you GCF for all you do for rangers, wildlife and communities worldwide! Check out the images below from their visit. Images courtesy of GCF and SRP.
